Our plans

Green Infrastructure

Sustainability and nature at the heart of the design

Integrating Passivhaus principles, rainwater harvesting, EV charging, and renewable energy alongside an extensive SuDS and green infrastructure strategy inspired by the adjacent Lindow Moss nature reserve. Wetland areas, swales, and ponds form a visible part of the public realm, with planting drawn from local peatland and woodland species.

Understanding context

Farmstead-inspired homes

Drawing on the agricultural heritage of the Cheshire plain through three distinct house typologies: cottages/terraces, farmhouses, and barn-style dwellings.

A new sustainable neighbourhood

Moor Lane is a proposed new community that takes its cues from the land it sits on. Rooted in the agricultural heritage of the Cheshire countryside and inspired by the natural landscape of Lindow Moss, this is a place designed for people who want to live well - with nature, with their neighbours, and with the future in mind.

From carefully crafted homes that draw on the local farmstead vernacular, to orchards, wildflower meadows, and wetland spaces woven through the heart of the development, every element of Moor Lane has been designed with purpose.

This is not just a housing development. It is a blueprint for how new communities in Wilmslow can be beautiful, sustainable, and genuinely connected to the place they call home.

Proposed site layout

Integrating modern living with significant local ecological enhancements.

Landscaping

The proposed scheme aims to keep a minimum hard surfacing. The new roads take up no more space than the existing hardstanding on the site.
